One night, Gina was on patrol on Old Ocean Road. Having nothing to report, she contacted dispatch, and talked with the operator, Edna for a while. The conversation was cut short when Gina spotted a large purple being on the bridge in front of her. She got out of her squad car, and angrily commented on his recklessness. After she thought she saw a gun, she pulled her own and requested that he would drop it. When it turned out it was not a gun but a nearly lifeless rat, this startled her even more. Before she could fire her weapon, the purple being attacked her and drained all her energy.
Because the dispatch operator heard nothing on the other end, she alerted other cops to the location. Parasite, having acquired Gina's voice and knowledge, tricked her into calling off the backup. Gina was not found until the following morning, barely conscious. She was brought to the hospital where she regained her strength.
